Lively Library
The mission of the Lively library is to provide a safe, welcoming, and equitable place for students and the community to develop a lifelong appreciation of reading, learning, and collaboration.
Library Materials and Services
The library collection includes fiction and nonfiction books, including books in Spanish and other languages. Students may check out two books at a time for two weeks. Late fees are not charged and renewals are encouraged. There are four computers available for student projects and printing. Printing is only available for school work.
Library Digital Resources
Lively Library digital resources include both Audiobooks and eBooks, which can be accessed through the AISD portal. After you log in to the portal, search for MackinVIA. The left side bar shows both Audiobooks and eBooks. In addition, AISD provides many databases for school research also available through MackinVIA.
Library Hours
The library is open from 7:45 am until 3:50 pm. Students may come to the library at any time during the school day with a pass from their teacher. Students also enjoy Lunch Bunch, where they come to play games with friends, read, study, and relax.
Lively Library History
The original entrance to the first building on the Lively campus, built in 1911, is one of the library walls. Two story ceilings provide natural light from large windows on the side walls.
